"Nikita" officially renewed for season 4

"Nikita" just got its (predicted) fourth season renewal by The CW! This is awesome news for us fans! It means more "Nikita" for all of us!
Showrunner Craig Silverstein already tweeted that "Nikita" (unfortunately) won't come back for a full season of 22 episodes and more likely for a limited episode run. Rumours say that the episode order is just for 6 episodes but this hasn't been officially confirmed yet. We will know at the latest next week at The CW's upfronts.
The fourth season is likely the final season because of the shortened season renewal and also because of the modest ratings. But we thus will get a proper ending for our favourite show. More news and details to come next week!

UPDATE: Season 4 will officially be the final season of "Nikita" and will consist of a total of 6 episodes which brings the show to a total of 73 episodes. The final season is not scheduled yet and will likely air as a mid-season replacement in 2014 (or even earlier) when a new show or a returning show on The CW fails. I'm happy anyway because I'm confident that the writers are able to wrap up the show within six episodes to give us a satisfying, proper ending.
